Rayya  : Hello Fariha, how is going your studies?

Fariha  : I am doing quite well in all subjects except English.

Rayya  : English is an international language. We must good at English otherwise we will not be able to cope with the present world.

Fariha  : You are absolutely right but how can I improve my English?

Rayya  :Learning any language is difficult. But if  you have proper dedication, it will be easy for you.

Fariha  : Then what can I do?

Rayya  : In order to have good command over English you have to acquire the four skills of English?

Fariha  : Which are they?

Rayya  :Reading , writing, speaking and listening.

Fariha  :  How can I develop my speaking skill?

Rayya  :You have to practice speaking with your classmate and family members. Try to always speak in English.

Fariha  : And for listening?

Rayya  : Listen to the English news on radio, watch BBC , CNN, Al Jazeera and some other international news channel. Search the YouTube, you will find lots of videos on improving listening skill.  

Fariha  : How can I develop my reading skill?

Rayya  : Read English novel, magazine and newspaper. They will help you to enrich your vocabulary also.

Fariha  : And what about writing?

Rayya  : To enhance your writing capability you have to write a few pages in English every day.

Fariha  : Can you suggest me any English learning centre?

Rayya  : You can contact with British Council, Arif’s English Grammar House etc. but mind it, wherever you go, you have to practice yourself and work hard for acquiring proficiency in this language.
